The first series of lectures promoted by the Pope Leo XIV International Study Center, recently established at the Augustinian complex, begins at the Convent of Santo Spirito in Florence.
This series of reflections and insights is dedicated to Saint Augustine and his extraordinary relevance to the present day. The aim of these three events is to explore his thought on central themes of social, civil, and spiritual life.

The conferences, hosted in the Chapter Hall of the Convent of Santo Spirito, will take place between November 2025 and May 2026 and will feature theologians and scholars of note in the Italian academic world.

“This series of lectures,” explains Father Giuseppe Pagano, Prior of the Convent of Santo Spirito, “aims to help us understand how Augustine addressed the great questions of humanity and society, inviting us to look at everyday reality with eyes renewed by faith and reason.”

The series officially inaugurates the activities of the Pope Leo XIV International Study Center, established in Florence to promote education in social and political life inspired by the Social Doctrine of the Church and Augustinian spirituality.
