The Frontiers of Poverty<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>First International Workshop of the International Study Center Leone XIV ETS<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-text-align-center wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>Rome, Pontifical Patristic Institute Augustinianum<br>16\u201317 September 2026<\/strong><br>Via Paolo VI, 25 \u2013 00193 Rome<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The <strong>International Study Center Leone XIV ETS<\/strong> is organising its first international workshop, <strong>\u201cLet everything be yours in common. The Frontiers of Poverty\u201d<\/strong>, to be held in Rome on <strong>16 and 17 September 2026<\/strong>, in collaboration with the <strong>Pontifical Patristic Institute Augustinianum<\/strong> and the <strong>Facolt\u00e0 Teologica dell\u2019Italia Centrale<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Established at the Augustinian Community of Santo Spirito in Florence and dedicated to Pope Leo XIV, the Study Center promotes research, education and dialogue on social, political and international affairs, in the light of the <strong>Augustinian tradition<\/strong>, the <strong>Social Doctrine of the Church<\/strong>, human dignity and the common good.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The title recalls the Augustinian expression <strong>\u201cLet everything be yours in common\u201d<\/strong>: an invitation to reflect on the many forms of poverty and the shared responsibilities they place on institutions, communities and each of us. The two-day event will bring together theologians, philosophers, historians, economists, legal scholars, scholars of international affairs and young researchers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">From Scripture to new inequalities, from conflicts to migration, and from education to artificial intelligence and access to water and sanitation, the programme encourages interdisciplinary dialogue between <strong>academic research, ecclesial experience and social responsibility<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"button_link wp-block-paragraph\"><a href=\"https:\/\/indico.studiumleonexiv.org\/event\/7\/\">Full programme and registration on Indico<\/a><\/p>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group slx-memory-card is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">In memory of Fra Severino Bussino<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The workshop is dedicated to the memory of <strong>Fra Severino Bussino, OSA<\/strong>, a member of the Augustinian Community of Santo Spirito in Florence and a figure particularly dear to the Study Center. <strong>Stefano Maria Mari<\/strong> will pay tribute to him at the opening of the workshop.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Alongside the academic discussions, a <strong>fundraising initiative open to everyone<\/strong> is being held in his memory. The funds raised will support the Holy Father\u2019s charitable works through the <strong>Dicastery for the Service of Charity \u2013 Apostolic Almonry<\/strong>. A Minimo Incipe ETS and the Augustinian Community of Santo Spirito will also contribute to the initiative.
