Thursday, November 6, 2025, 5:30 p.m. – Chapter Hall of the Convent of Santo Spirito, Florence.
With the conference “The Everyday Reveals. Saint Augustine and the Miracles” by Giovanni Cesare Pagazzi, Archivist and Librarian of the Holy Roman Church, begins the series of meetings organized by the International Study Center Pope Leo XIV, dedicated to exploring the enduring relevance of Augustinian thought.
This inaugural event will be moderated by Maurizio Girolami, Dean of the Theological Faculty of Triveneto.
The meeting will take place on Thursday, November 6, 2025, at 5:30 p.m., in the Chapter Hall of the Convent of Santo Spirito in Florence (Piazza Santo Spirito 30).
Saint Augustine’s original reflection on the miracles of Jesus — which should awaken attention to the everyday miracles and ordinary experiences of life — offers a promising perspective for imagining the depth of human relationships that shape society and inspire its ethics.
Equally insightful is his understanding of power, described with great clarity as one of the deepest desires of the human heart.

The first series of conferences of the Pope Leo XIV International Study Center will take place in Santo Spirito.
