The Leo XIV International Study Centre ETS Enters Its Operational Phase

With its establishment as a Third Sector Entity (Ente del Terzo Settore – ETS), the Leo XIV International Study Centre enters its operational phase, consolidating a path of research, formation and dialogue already initiated in previous months, in continuity with the Augustinian tradition and the Social Doctrine of the Church.

With its formal establishment as a Third Sector Entity (Ente del Terzo Settore – ETS), the Leo XIV International Study Centre officially enters its operational phase, consolidating and structuring a cultural and scientific path that had already begun in previous months.

The legal establishment represents a fundamental step in providing institutional stability to an experience that has already taken shape through public activities, moments of dialogue and initiatives of study, in continuity with the Augustinian inspiration and the magisterium of Pope Leo XIV.

Over the past months, the Centre has promoted an initial cycle of public conferences, launched the work of its governing bodies and committees, and defined the main lines of its future programme. In particular, the Scientific Committee and the Local Organising Committee have already held their first meetings, initiating a shared process of planning cultural and educational initiatives.

Among the activities already carried out, the conference delivered last November by Monsignor Giovanni Cesare Pagazzi, entitled “The Everyday Reveals. Saint Augustine and Miracles”, is fully available on the Centre’s official website, including both video recording and full transcript.

The first public event currently in preparation will be dedicated to the theme of poverty, approached from an interdisciplinary perspective and in dialogue with the major challenges of contemporary society, in the light of the Social Doctrine of the Church and ethical reflection on public action.

With the start of its operational phase, the Leo XIV International Study Centre ETS intends to strengthen its commitment to promoting formation for political life, scientific research and cultural dialogue, developing stable and qualified cooperation with academic, cultural and ecclesial institutions in Italy and abroad.

The calendar of initiatives, conference materials and updates on the Centre’s activities are available in the dedicated sections of the website.
