The Leone XIV International Study Centre ETS was established by public deed on 16 December 2025 as a non-profit Third Sector Organisation (ETS), in accordance with the Italian Civil Code and the Third Sector Code (Legislative Decree No. 117/2017), with its headquarters at the Augustinian Convent of Santo Spirito in Florence.
The Statute is the fundamental document governing the identity, mission, organisation, and functioning of the Association. It defines the Centre’s guiding principles, governing bodies, membership structure, and the framework through which it carries out its institutional activities.
In accordance with its non-partisan and non-political nature, the Study Centre promotes research, education, cultural outreach, and interdisciplinary dialogue on issues related to public life, international relations, cooperation among peoples, and integral human development, inspired by the Social Doctrine of the Church, the Augustinian tradition, and the teaching of Pope Leo XIV.
Approved by the founding members and attached to the deed of incorporation, the Statute serves as the legal and institutional framework for all activities of the Study Centre and ensures transparency, participation, and accountability in its governance.
The official and legally binding version of the Statute of the Leone XIV International Study Centre ETS is the Italian text approved by the founding members and deposited with the competent authorities.
