“Leone XIV. Who Do You Say I Am?”: Ingrao and Father Pagano Present the New Volume in Santo Spirito

On Thursday, 21 November 2025, the Sacristy of the Basilica of Santo Spirito will host the presentation of the book “Leone XIV. Who Do You Say I Am? I Am a Son of Augustine” by Ignazio Ingrao and Father Giuseppe Pagano. A unique opportunity to explore the human and spiritual portrait of the Pope through the direct testimony of its authors.

On Thursday, 21 November 2025, at 5:00 PM, the Sacristy of the Basilica of Santo Spirito will host the presentation of the volume “Leone XIV. Who Do You Say I Am? I Am a Son of Augustine”, written by RAI journalist Ignazio Ingrao in collaboration with Father Giuseppe Pagano, Prior of the Augustinian Community of Santo Spirito.

The book, published by Cantagalli, offers an original and intimate portrait of Pope Leo XIV, shaped by the years of ministry, study, and fraternal life that Father Pagano shared in Rome with the then Father Robert Prevost. The narrative retraces daily episodes, formative experiences and personal memories, portraying a man of listening, balance, and profound simplicity, inspired by the Augustinian spirit.

Both authors will take part in the event. Journalist Paolo Ermini, former deputy editor of Corriere della Sera and former director of Corriere Fiorentino, will also attend.

An event that weaves together memory, spirituality, and culture in the heart of Santo Spirito, a historic place of dialogue and encounter for the city.
